Emergency Contraception

If you have had sex without using any form of contraception or you think your method may have failed, you should contact us as soon as possible.

Treatment must start as soon as possible – usually up to 72 hours for the emergency pill and up to 5 days for the IUD.

Remember – THE SOONER THE BETTER – do not leave it until the last minute to seek advice in this situation.  You can see a nurse to get emergency contraception.

In the event we are closed, emergency contraception can be obtain from NHS walk-in centres, minor injury units and most pharmacies.
