Availability of results
Most results take at least 1 week before they are back and actioned by a doctor or nurse. Some specialist tests can take longer.
Sexual health and radiological results
We will send you an email to let you know if your results are normal or abnormal or if there is any action to be taken.
All other types of test results
We only email you if the test is abnormal or if any action is needed.
Please make sure we have your correct email address and check your email regularly, even in holidays. We use UEA addresses for staff and students unless otherwise specified. Please add [email protected] to your safe senders list so that any messages from UMS are not automatically moved to your junk mail folder.
If you continue to feel unwell and want to check if your results are back, then please call 01603 251600 and ask to speak to the admin team who deal with results.
We do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
